Freedom Law School Ordered To Pay Out

The Anti IRS organization Freedom Law School has been ordered to pay a settlement of $300,000 to plaintiff Mr.Rashid Aswat by the Californian third district court.

Mr.Aswat filed a lawsuit against Freedom Law School in April 2007 after he claimed to have successfully answered all the requirements in a competition on the law schools web site.

The competition which challenge's readers to answer three questions, which puts the legitimacy of the income tax into question, has been run by the law schools president  Peymon Mottahedeh for over seven years.

Mr.Aswat claimed he E Mailed the law school in March 2007 with the correct answers but received no monetary compensation, and after the week long hearings residing Judge Robert Myers ruled in favor of the plaintiff.

Deliberation

In deliberation, Judge Myers criticized the law school for what he described as there 'frivolous and bogus' claims.

He also went on to say "The notion that Freedom Law School put forward that they have undeniable and unanswerable questions about the tax code, is an insult to the intelligence of every hard working American. As we have witnessed, your claims are so weak and fragile that they fall like a stack of cards under scrutiny"

"I would urge anyone who would consider taking counsel from this, or any other law firm who shares a similar view, to reconsider, because they are running, what essentially is a scam".

Given this decision spokes person for Freedom law School claimed "We will now have to consider which steps we take from here" though conceding "An appeal is unlikely"

The president of Freedom Law School Peymon Mottahedeh, was unavailable for a comment on the ruling, and the firm has yet to remove the competition from it's web site.
